The Excess fee amount (security deposit) is a preauthorised amount held by the rental company to cover potential damages that are not included in selected insurance package. It refers to the financial participation in the damage of rented vehicle. Excess fee is maximum amount of lessee's liability. Excess depends on vehicle category and selected insurance.
Depending on which insurance package you select, you can reduce the risk and amount of participation(excess) in the damage.
